The managing director of federal mortgage bank, Alhaji Ahmad Musa Dangiwa has donated food items worth N43 million to people in the three senatorial zones of Katsina state.
Speaking while distributing the items to beneficiaries in Funtua zone, Dangiwa said the items will cushioned the suffering of the beneficiaries for the Ramadan fasting.
Handing over the items to the benefitting zones, Dangiwa who was represented by member representing Kankia at the state house of assembly, Alhaji Salisu Hamza Kankia said the items were distributed to each of the 34 local governments in the state.
He further disclosed that the food items include 1064 bags of Millet, 720 bags of rice where he added that each of the 34 local governments of the state got 50 bags.
Giving a further nreakfown, Dangiwa noted that eleven local governments of Funtua zone will get 550 bags, eleven from Katsina were also allocated 550 bags while twelve local governments from Daura will get 600 bags.
Similarly, Dangiwa disclosed that a total sum of over N3 million were given to APC executives at the state, zonal and local government level to support them for the Ramadan fasting.
In a remark, the APC Funtua zone Vice- chairman, Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa has commended the Mortgage bank boss for the donation.
He noted that the donation will go a long way in supporting beneficiaries for the Ramadan fasting, calling on political office holders to borrow a leaf from Dangiwa.
