Zamfara State Government Delivers Food Items to the IDP’s located in Gumi and Bukuyyum Local Government Areas as the first of the Intended Perpetual Humanitarian Poverty and Social Development Initiative in the State.
Following the need assessment on Internally Displaced Persons (IDP’S) conducted by the Office of the Special Adviser Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hon. Faika Muhammad Ahmad in collaboration with ZEMA, the distribution of food items in several Local Government Areas in the state as part of eradicating poverty and enhancement of social developmental intiatives in an effort to the state from a clear delapitated situation due to insecurity and negligence.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”3″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
An integral part of the programme included the distribution of 200 bags of Millet, 800 bags of Sorghum and 200 bags of Garri in Gumi Local Government Area and 200 bags of Millet, 800 bags of Sorghum 200 of Garri bags we’re distributed in Bukuyyum Local Government.
Other items were equally donated from NEMA as part of the programme includes,” Millet, Sorghum and Garri” to the IDP’S have commenced with the intention of covering all three regions of state that has been considered as loudable, progressive and a welcome development by the Government of Governor Bello Matawalle, (Executive Governor,Zamfara State).
The team was led by the Special Adviser HADMSD Hajiya Faika Muhammad Ahmad, SSA ZEMA Major Aliyu Muhammad Maradun, Director Admin Aysha Abdu Gusau, Director Kabiru Rabiu.
